Orbit Underground 26062 Sprinkler Guard Donut, Multi

  • Diameter of center hole is 1.8"
  • Protect sprinkler head from overgrowth
  • Made of heavy duty plastic

Something needed to be done about all my sprinkler heads getting blocked by overgrown thatches of grass. Given the reviews, I was a little hesitant about these sprinkler donuts, but I bought a few and tried them. I buried them level with the dirt so the lawn mower won't hit them; and they are wedged in so well, nothing will blow them away. But, even those on the edge of my lawn without so much grass to brace them haven't moved. I liked these so much, I ended up buying an Orbit donut cutter to speed up the hole-cutting process. My local chain hardware store sold these same Orbit donuts for way cheaper. So, I bought 20 of them online for in-store delivery and installed them all over my lawn.

I'm not sure why so many reviewers are complaining about the weight, them being dislodged or popping up when the sprinklers turn on. If you're having this problem, you're not installing them correctly. They fit my Orbit pop-up sprinkler heads perfectly. To install them properly, you must first remove the sprinkler cap from the body by turning counter-clockwise and then removing. Next, place the donut over the sprinkler body and mark the sod with a hand spade, then replace the sprinkler cap long enough to remove the sod to make room for the donut. Now remove the sprinkler cap once more and place the donut in the hole, being sure the inside lip is just below the threads on the sprinkler body. Now reinstall the cap and you're done. The cap will hold the donut in place. I did take the advise of others and filled mine with concrete also, to keep them from sinking when stepped on. Works great.

They look great! Just be very careful when installing. They will crack if the ground isn't soft enough.

these are perfect, and like one of the reviewers said to fill with a concrete....easy small container at Home Depot does the trick....be sure to drill 4 holes in the sides and add nails to keep the concrete in place.

Nice grass guard for around the sprinkler heads. I fill them with concrete, and they are very stable.

This thing is better than typical concrete one. I have some sprinklers right at corners. This product is easy to cut into different shapes to fit in.

Just what I needed to protect the sprinkler head. Correct size. Good price and delivered on time. What more could I ask?

What I liked best was that I no longer mess up my sprinklers by hitting them with my lawnmower.

I had to drill the donut hole to 2" to fit the older sprinkler heads. Used the product to fit around sprinkler heads for more definition on the lawn.

Perfect. Easy to install, fits over my existing sprinkler heads, prevents grass from growing over the head. I plan on purchasing 20+ more to finish the lawn
